Yi Characters in Apple iPhone and iPad

In the Apple iPhone or iPad, you can build an input method using shortcuts.

Open the Yi Syllable Data file, copy the contents to a new note, and save the note. Use this file as your source for copying Yi characters to the clipboard and getting the romanized string for each. Make a shortcut with a Yi syllable character as the desired text (copy the character from your note) and the romanized string for that character as the input.

Whenever you type that string from the soft keyboard, the Yi syllable character will be offered as an option for input. Tip: For a character like ꇪ use a string like “got-” to avoid confusion with the English word got.
